Top Priorities
Student Success After Graduation
Every student should leave Lansing Schools with a plan and the skills to pursue it. I want students exposed to college, skilled trades, apprenticeships, careers, and entrepreneurship, while building practical skills like resumes, interviewing, financial literacy, and professional communication.
Student, Family, and Staff Voice
The people who experience our schools every day should have a real voice in the decisions we make. I want to create more accessible and meaningful ways for students, families, and staff to share their experiences, ideas, and concerns, and know their feedback is being heard.
K-12 Academic Success
Every student deserves a strong academic foundation from their first day of school through graduation. I want us to strengthen literacy and math, address achievement gaps, and make sure students aren't simply moving forward, but are truly learning and prepared for what comes next.
Trust and Pride in Lansing Schools
There is so much happening in Lansing Schools that our community should be proud of. I want to strengthen communication, build trust with families and the community, celebrate our students and staff, and make our schools places people are proud to attend, work in, and support.
